The TG01 is Toshiba's Fastest and Slimmest PDA Phone to Date

It is the age of smart phones and how can Toshiba stay behind? The latest TG01 from Toshiba's stable is a phone which will revolutionize the market of smart phones, which is dominated by products like iPhone 3GS and HTC Hero.

The TG01 is smart piece of work by the manufacturer. The phone is the largest, slimmest and the fastest Toshiba model in the smart phone industry and the features are enough to make it a runaway success.

Let's explore the Toshiba TG01.

The most important feature that makes this phone stand out than other products in the market is its speed. Toshiba TG01 has one of the fastest processor in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 1 GHz processor. Its body is also the thinnest at under a centimeter and runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 version.

But the most striking external feature of his phone is its screen. The screen is a massive 4.1 inch and there is two centimeters more at the edges and that takes the phone to an insane size of 129 x 70 x 9.9 mm.

When you take it in hand, the gigantic size of this smart phone will make you feel odd, but the fact that its screen is the largest in the 3G section gives it an extra edge.

The gigantic size, however, has been balanced by its light weight and thinness. The phone is extremely light at 129 grams and is just 9.9 mm thin.

Though the phone is light to carry, its can also be carried in your pocket only if you have a deep one.

The lay out design of the buttons on both sides of the TG01 is also weird and uncommon. On the left hand side you will have the volume control and he power switch and on the right you will have the camera and USB socket.

On the frontal side, you have the touch sensitive features - home, back and the touch bar that is used for dragging the free pad. The call, end call and soft key options are available on the screen, but they are a bit small to press comfortably.

The TG01 is integrated with a 3.2MP camera but unlike other smart phone it comes without a flash on the top and is built of matte lastic. The matte lastic makes it look a little flimsy.

But it is the weight and the size of the phone that makes it strikingly noticeable. The buttons have been placed nicely on the chassis and though they are easy to find typing them with ease is a problem.

Starting up the phone takes some when you switch it on first time. While starting the TG01 logo freezes on the screen and for buyers it would look like as there might be some technical glitches.

The design is not going to suit every customer, but Toshiba should get all the applause for coming out with something that has the potential to take on some of the biggest names in the market.

The Toshiba TG01 has now been joined by the Samsung Galaxy in the touch screen phones market, for further details please refer to our mobile phones shop - Phones Limited.
